Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom Selects Juniper Networks for Broadband Stimulus-Funded Network Upgrade to Keep Pace With Bandwidth Demands
Continued Investments in Higher Speed Internet Services Ensure Services Availability and Application Acceleration
(firmenpresse) - SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/22/11 -- Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced that Waitsfield and Champlain Valley Telecom (WCVT), an independent service provider delivering voice and data communications services to Vermont since 1904, has deployed Juniper Networks routing and switching solutions to enable reliable, higher-speed telecommunications services to its growing subscriber base while also increasing service delivery times with a lower total cost of network ownership.

The network upgrade, funded in part by the , will deploy a 10 Gigabit Ethernet network core that will support high-speed services to WCVT's residential and business customers across its more than 650 square miles of service coverage. Leveraging the with support for robust MPLS services, WCVT can more effectively support the rapid delivery of all types of communications services across its network.
