Brocade Nabs Consecutive GTDC Rising Star Award for Top Sales Through Distribution
Award Honors Companies That Effectively Leverage Distribution Partnerships to Drive Channel Growth and New Technology Adoption

Selected from among hundreds of technology vendors, Brocade received Global Technology Distribution Council's (GTDC) Silver Rising Star award based on the company's strong performance in the $100 million to $500 million category for year-over-year U.S. revenue growth through distributors.
Rising Stars are distinguished for their ability to forge strong partnerships with technology distributors to produce exceptional business results. The GTDC, a worldwide industry association dedicated to defining and promoting the role of the wholesale technology distribution industry, presented the awards this week as part of its annual Vendor Summit event, held this year at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach, Sept. 20 to 21. GTDC members drive more than $100 billion in annual worldwide channel sales.
Brocade's exceptional performance was noted from among hundreds of IT manufacturers and publishers that rely on GTDC distributors to supply inventory to technology solution providers worldwide. This recognition represents Brocade's continued achievements in driving growth through distribution channels, as the company was a recipient of the Bronze Rising Star Award in 2010.

Sales figures that determine Rising Star award winners are based on the past year's actual U.S. revenue as calculated by industry research organization The NPD Group using its Distributor Track® service. To be eligible for a Rising Star award, vendors are required to have sold corresponding products through IT distributors for a minimum of one year. Categories include:
$500 million or more in U.S. distribution sales/highest year-over-year revenue growth
$100 - $500 million in U.S. distribution sales/highest year-over-year revenue growth
$20 million - $100 million in U.S. distribution sales/highest year-over-year revenue growth
Software publishers with sales of at least $20 million/highest year-over-year revenue growth
