Ireland's Green Bag Company Builds Out US Infrastructure as Sales of Sustainability Products Grow

In just the last year, sales in this market have soared by 16 percent. The news was announced today during an Enterprise Ireland-supported trade mission to North Carolina led by Ireland's Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton. Enterprise Ireland is the government organization responsible for the development and growth of Irish businesses in world markets.
Green Bag began with a practical mission: to design and develop commercial solutions for social problems. In its early days, this meant providing an alternative for single-use plastic bags. The timing was good. Individuals and communities were becoming more eco-aware. Retail outlets began to encourage and reward the use of recyclable bags. Even cities like San Francisco issued a ban against the use of plastic bags. Green Bag stepped in with an array of attractive multi-purpose reusable bags in a variety of shapes, styles, fabrics and designs that became instant winners. Today the customer-focused company is eyeing new applications for its sustainability expertise. Soon customers can expect to find products like medical garments, environmentally-friendly food packaging, and high-visibility security vests standing out on the company's online shelves.
