8th Annual CIRI Alberta Awards to be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Calgary Petroleum Club
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/11 -- Members of the media are invited to attend the 8th Annual Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) Alberta Awards Gala being held on September 22, 2011, at 5 p.m. MDT, at the Calgary Petroleum Club. Proceeds from this year's silent auction and raffle will go to benefit two local charities: and .
Join representatives from WIMS, Get Real, CIRI Alberta members, investor relations professionals and members of the investment community for a night of mixing, mingling and experiencing flavours from the festivals of the world, as CIRI Alberta honours and celebrates outstanding contributions to the investor relations profession in Alberta.

About the charities
CIRI Alberta has partnered with Social Venture Partners, and the proceeds will be used toward the purchase of a new clothing baler for the WINS Social Enterprise project. The clothing baler will provide WINS with the ability to increase its annual revenue by $14,000. The estimated lifespan of the baler is 10 to 15 years.
Get Real offers social responsibility programs designed to demonstrate an awareness of the impact of bullying, harassment, violence and isolation on individual self-esteem on Alberta youths. The programs have been running since 2005. Proceeds will off-set the costs of offering this program in the schools, allowing Get Real to become a life-changing movement in the schools.
