Atlantis Systems Corp. Announces Move of Corporate Offices to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
(firmenpresse) - DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/11 -- Atlantis Systems Corp. (NEX: AIQ.H) today announced at its Annual Meeting of Shareholders, that in support of the company's anticipated growth in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the company will move its corporate offices from Brampton, Ontario.
"Our decision is based on the growing potential for business opportunities and the increased visibility for our company in this area", said Henrik Noesgaard, CEO and Chairman of the Board. "Many of our customers are located in Nova Scotia and the Halifax area has a skilled and enthusiastic workforce."
The Company has started the transition that will occur over the next several months. A new CFO, Anne-Marie Gammon, based in Dartmouth, was hired in June 2011. A local law firm, McInnes Cooper was engaged in July 2011, and Deloitte & Touche, Halifax was appointed by the Board of Directors and elected by the shareholders at today's meeting. The company is in the process of hiring a President and COO.
The Atlantis Systems Eduplus (ASE) division of the Corporation is based in Dartmouth and is an industry leader in developing e-learning and interactive multi-media training solutions. Employment at ASE has tripled over the past two years and now stands close to 100 employees. The strategy of the company is to take advantage of the distinctive positioning that ASE has in the market.
