Ansell Personally Recognized by Nancy G. Brinker, Founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R), for Its Continued Support in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

That's because Ansell has been recognized for the contribution it has made through the Power of P.I.N.K. Program to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. A letter, personally signed by Susan G. Komen Founder and CEO, Nancy G. Brinker, credits Ansell's pioneering pink glove program for enabling Komen "to expand our mission to discover and deliver cures for breast cancer across the globe."

Through its widely recognized pink glove program, Ansell contributes $2 from every case sold of its Micro-Touch® NitraFree™ pink nitrile exam gloves to Komen. Ansell's program began in 2008 and since then the softly tinted exam gloves have delivered a powerful blow in the fight against breast cancer.
"It's very fitting that every time a healthcare practitioner uses our signature pink exam gloves, they are not only protecting themselves, they are also helping Komen protect women everywhere from breast cancer and calling attention to a very important cause that is close to all of us," said Heather Campbell, Senior Marketing Manager who initiated the program with Komen.
With Ansell's help, Komen invested an additional $75 million in research, increasing the number of their active projects to 582. Another $93 million was distributed to local communities, providing more than 600,000 women with free screenings and over 100,000 with treatment assistance.
Ansell is also encouraging women to get lifesaving breast screenings and mammograms as part of Komen's "Less Talk. More Action." campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
