Phonoscope Deploys Juniper Networks Routing Solutions for Comprehensive IPv6 Support

(firmenpresse) - SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/20/11 -- Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) today announced that Phonoscope, operator of the largest privately-owned fiber optic Metropolitan Area Network in the U.S., has selected Juniper Networks routing solutions as its platform of choice to support IPv4/IPv6 addressing transition and coexistence across its 46 multi-gigabit Ethernet fiber optic rings. Based in Houston, Texas, supplies customers on its network with a variety of commercial and residential grade services and is making the necessary investments to fully support IPv6, in anticipation of the future depletion of IPv4 addresses.
