The highly configurable third release of the successful TP-X POS solution incorporates 2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i3, i5 and Pentium(R) processors, delivering the power of a desktop computer in two mobile laptop form factors that let retailers create customer touch points in the most diverse and challenging environments. The retail-hardened TP-X II 500 Series controllers run cooler and consume less power, increasing reliability while reducing costs. Configurable with up to 14 powered USB ports, the TP-X II eliminates the need for power bricks, further increasing reliability while providing the connectivity retailers need to meet the evolving demands of today's shoppers.

With its second-generation Intel(R) Core(TM) processors, the TP-X II performs faster, runs cooler, and offers greater security. The TP-X II also minimizes service calls with enhanced control and remote management for retailers with industry-leading manageability standards such as Intel AMT and vPro, WMI and DMTF, and support for Microsoft(R) Windows 7 Professional For Embedded Systems, Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, Windows Embedded POSReady 7, and Microsoft Windows(R) XP operating systems.
Featuring independent dual screens, the highly configurable TP-X II 500 Series is available in a standard form factor for typical retailing environments and a compact "Coupe chassis" that offers a 40 percent reduction in volume for challenging environments where space is at a premium. With up to 14 powered USB ports and a 300W high-efficiency power supply, the TP-X II 500 Series makes it easy to connect a full complement of peripherals directly to the controller without worrying about multiple power outlets or unattractive power strips. With an optional second hard disk and integrated RAID controller, the TP-X II can be configured as a resilient server supporting multiple applications and client terminals. With dual screens and support for high-definition audio, this single platform can also be deployed in multiple roles ranging from a POS or kiosk, to a service desk and more.
