The extravaganza features a star-studded set of headliners including Kanye West, Coldplay, Stevie Wonder, Arcade Fire, Allison Krauss, and Cee Lo Green.
According to the TicketNetwork Exchange* the overall average price for , including three-day passes, is $170. Between the three-day pass and the single-day pass, the three-day passes are a more popular choice. At an average price of $282, the three-day pass gives buyers more value for the amount paid than single-day tickets. That's because the average cost per day with the three-day pass is $94, while the average cost per day with the single-day pass is $133.
A large number of ACL ticket buyers (40%) reside within 150 miles of the festival's location. Of that, 57% live within 50 miles of Austin, and 44% live in Austin itself. This is comparable to other festivals such as Lollapalooza and Coachella, which feature a group of attendees found relatively close to the show's host city.
The festival also attracts a sizeable portion of ticket buyers from further away. More than 16% of the audience is travelling more than 1,000 miles to get to Austin City Limits from states such as Illinois, Florida, Maryland, and New York. However, 73% of ticket buyers are from Texas.
More than 110 artists and bands are scheduled to play at this year's , which runs from September 16 - 18.
