Australian Oil and Gas Industry Recruitment Expo Returns to Alberta
New Zealand recruiters to join them for first time
(firmenpresse) - SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/08/11 -- On the heels of a hugely successful Recruitment Expo in May 2011, Working In Ltd., returns to Alberta with the Opportunities Australia & New Zealand - Engineering, Mining, Oil and Gas Recruitment Expo. The Recruitment Expo will be held in Calgary on September 17-18, 2011 at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre and in Edmonton on September 24-25, 2011 at the Edmonton Marriott at River Cree Resort.
The Expo will provide a platform for engineering, mining, and oil and gas professionals to meet with Australasia's leading employers in their field. Employers will be on-site to interview, hire and offer sponsorships. Professional seminars will be conducted during the Expos to enable attendees to learn more about employment opportunities, exciting projects, working and living in Australia and New Zealand, and the process of moving "down under".
"The May 2011 Expos were an overwhelming success with more than 3,000 attendees," says Rupert Merrick, event organiser with Working In Ltd. "On average each company made 15-20 offers with an average rate of acceptance of 12-15, which greatly exceeded the expectation of 5 hires per company."
While Aussie employers were impressed with the outcome, the massive roll-out of Australian LNG and other resource projects in 2011 has prompted the need to hire many more highly skilled individuals.
The September 2011 Expo features major industry players including Solid Energy, Fluor, Xstrata Coal, Arrow Energy, Ausenco, and Vale Australia, among others. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is the gold sponsor of the event.
