Dresden, Germany, September 01, 2011 – Under the leadership of Dr. Andreas
Rückemann, Heliatek GmbH successfully went from a university spin-off focused on research and development to an influential operating company in organic solar cell technology in just three short years. A successful round of financing in 2009 made it possible to build the first production facility for this innovative technology at a new industrial site in Dresden. To date, a total of 70 jobs have been created. The course has been set for further growth, an outstanding team and a clear structure have been put together, and a consortium of leading venture capitalists has been established.

(firmenpresse) - The company is now entering a new phase of business development. In a constructive discussion about the company’s future strategic direction, Heliatek stakeholders and management agreed that Dr. Rückemann will hand over his duties as Board Chairman on September 1, 2011, to a new company CEO. The stakeholders of Heliatek and the entire staff wish to thank Dr. Rückemann for his outstanding work as CEO and for laying a solid foundation for the company’s current transition into a successful industrial company. We wish him every success for the future and good luck.

Dr. Andreas Rückemann: “Heliatek has amazing potential to further develop its technology leadership in organic photovoltaics into market leadership. We can be proud of our joint accomplishments in recent years while looking forward to an exciting future. I would also like to personally thank all our customers, suppliers, and funding bodies for the extraordinary amount of trust they have placed in us with their cooperation and ask that you continue to show your support for the new leadership.”

Mr. Thibaud Le Séguillon will take over as CEO of Heliatek GmbH from September 1, 2011. He has extensive international experience as managing director and CEO and has already successfully led innovative technology companies in highly competitive markets in the U.S. and Asia. His many years of experience in production processes similar to those at Heliatek will give the company an additional competitive advantage.
