Union Securities Ltd. Announces New Executive Vice President
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/31/11 -- Union Securities Ltd., an independent Canadian investment dealer with its head office in Vancouver, has recently announced the appointment of Sam Collins as its Executive Vice President, Retail. Based out of Toronto, Collins will oversee all retail sales management and recruitment across the firm's 14 branches across Canada.
Mr. Collins brings over 20 years of industry experience from both large firms such as Merrill Lynch and CIBC, as well as independent firms such as Jennings Capital and MGI Securities. His areas of focus are sales management, recruitment, retention, retail growth and development. He has personally recruited over $2.0 billion in AUA over his career and has initiated and facilitated two separate acquisitions of IIROC member firms.
Most recently, Mr. Collins was a partner at Trimor Capital Corporation, Calgary, Alberta, a Calgary based niche investment banking firm specializing in equity market consulting, equity financing for emerging public and private companies, and monthly income investment products.
