Sama Resources Appoints Michael Halvorson to its Advisory Committee
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/30/11 -- Sama Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: SME) ("Sama") is pleased to announce that Michael Halvorson has been appointed as advisor to Sama.
Mr. Halvorson has been involved in various aspects of the securities industry since 1967, with a focus on natural resource companies since 1981. He is a director of Novus Energy Inc. and Orezone Gold Corporation. Notable past directorships include Pediment Gold, Gentry Resources, Viceroy Exploration and Western Silver. He is currently an advisor to Strathmore Minerals, Fission Energy, Papuan Precious Metals, Esperanza Resources and Northern Graphite Corporation.
"Mr. Halvorson's extensive background in investor relations and corporate finance will assist Sama in the execution of its strategic plans in West Africa," stated Dr. Audet, President and CEO of Sama.
Sama has granted 400,000 incentive stock options to Mr. Michael Halvorson, as an advisor and consultant to Sama, pursuant to its Stock Option Plan and certain vesting provisions. These options will be exercisable at a price of $0.35 per share and will expire on August 25, 2016. The grant of the stock options is subject to regulatory approval.
