Introducing the Zacuto 3/8" 16 Lens Support
(firmenpresse) - CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 08/24/11 -- With the popularity of new large sensor cameras on the rise, people now have more options when it comes to what sort of lenses they want to use with their camera. A large lens doesn't necessarily mean a large camera anymore, but it does mean that you need a lens support. Now thanks to Zacuto's new , camera operators can use heavier lenses on these large sensor cameras without worrying about damaging the camera body.
"A lot of people are using longer, heavier PL mount lenses on cameras like the Canon 5D Mark II, , or ," says Manager, Joe DeJulius. "The Zacuto 3/8" 16 Lens Support lets shooters use these larger lenses on a standard 15mm rod support system."
The 3/8" 16 Lens Support uses a that screws directly into a lens for additional support. This is the perfect tool for anybody using Angenieux Optimo lenses, the Cooke 18-100 lens or any other large PL mount lens that uses a 3/8" 16 support screw hole. This particular lens support has three parts: the Q-mount, which attaches the lens support to the rod system, the 1/2" to 3/8" 16 adapter and the support rod. Like all Zacuto lens supports, the 3/8" 16 Lens Support clamps to the rods from underneath so it can be taken off the rods quickly and easily. The vertical support rod that attaches to the lens can also be moved up or down if desired. Alternative Q-mount sizes are also available for shooters using camera support rigs with studio spacing and/or 19mm rods.
