7th Annual Swedish-American Life Science Summit (SALSS) Draws Global Industry Attention to Stockholm From August 24th Through 26th

(firmenpresse) - STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/11 -- The Swedish-American Life Science Summit (SALSS), considered one of the global life science industry's most influential meeting points, announced today that this year's Summit will focus on exciting improvements in treating disease through novel uses of engineering and science.

This year's program will feature Richard Bergström, Director General of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations; Dr. William A. Haseltine, Founder of Haseltine Global Health and Human Genomic Sciences; Dr. Omid C. Farokhzad, Harvard Medical School and Dr. Elisabet de los Pinos, CEO of Aura Biosciences which presented at Davos last year. Swedish speakers at the conference will include Dr. Christina Åkerman, Director General of the Swedish Medical Products Agency and Dr. Mathias Uhlén, renowned scientist and Professor of Microbiology at Stockholm's Royal Institute of Technology. The Summit will conclude with an inspiring talk by the global health guru Professor Hans Rosling.
