Oklahoma, Arkansas Weyerhaeuser Properties to Sell in Sept. 14-15 Auctions
(firmenpresse) - WRIGHT CITY, OK -- (Marketwire) -- 08/19/11 -- Wood processing facilities, timberland and even riverfront land will sell at absolute auction in a series of September auctions in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The auctions for forest products leader Weyerhaeuser NR Company will include properties in Wright City, Okla., DeQueen, Ark., and Little Rock, Ark.
The two-day, three-event series of auctions will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, with the sale of a former industrial wood processing complex in Wright City. That sale -- the first of two on the same day -- will include approximately 218 acres of timber (including 45 acres on the Little River) and 537 acres of industrial land with several buildings.
"All of these are properties that offer excellent potential but simply do not fit into the current owner's plans," said John Dixon, president of , which will conduct all three auctions. "These include some excellent facilities, some with rail access, and some nice timberland," he said.
After the Wright City auction, the John Dixon team will move on to DeQueen, Ark., for the 3 p.m. sale of a former wood treating plant and approximately 325 acres. "These tracts are located along the railroad, making the property ideal for businesses that need rail access to ship their products," said Dixon. The auction will be conducted at the property, 377 South Treating Plant Road.
The final auction, set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, will include a former box plant at 1901 East 22nd Street in Little Rock. In addition to the 164,000-square-foot facility, the auction will include approximately 15 acres, selling in two tracts.
