Solar park construction sections Zerbst I and II with 20 MWp completed within only 5 weeks
On the former military airport Zerbst in Saxony-Anhalt, one of the biggest solar parks in Germany is being installed. The mounting of the first two construction sections was carried out by Schletter GmbH within a mere 5 weeks.
(firmenpresse) - The project that is executed by Q-Cells is designed to achieve a total power of 46 MWp after completion. The first construction sector with a power of 9 MWp has already been put into operation at the end of July. Until now, Schletter GmbH has carried out the planning and the mounting of the partial projects I and II.
Using GPS-technology, the pile-driving operations could be carried out in less than two weeks. Already in the course of these pile-driving operations, the mounting of the substructures began. As a part of the plant is located on a former landing strip, a special dowelling system designed by Schletter was applied on these concreted surfaces. The mounting time for the substructures and the modules was only 4 weeks. This part of the plant is supposed to reach a power of more than 20 MWp.
“The special challenge with such big projects that have to be completed in such a short time is the exact coordination of the different crafts involved. Only thanks to absolutely exact planning, just-in-time delivery and the system that has been optimized for quick mounting, the tight schedule could be maintained. Thus, we would like to thank Q-Cells and all other companies for the excellent cooperation within the framework of this project”, says Franz Schaber, who is the project manager for open area solar plants with Schletter.
The open area mounting system by Schletter has already been successfully applied for several years all over Europe. Due to a very high level of pre-assembly, the system can be installed within very short mounting times. A special design was developed especially for conversion areas so that pile driven foundations and foundations on concrete subsoil can be combined.
