Anderson Plumbing Heating & Air Announces Operation Pink Ribbon to Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Diego
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/17/11 -- Mary Jean Anderson, president of Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air () announced a company-wide commitment of time, fundraising and resources to Susan G. Komen for the Cure San Diego called Operation Pink Ribbon.
"I like the fact that Susan G. Komen is about finding a cure. We all know about the issue, so now the question is what are we going to do about it? Not only are we going to raise funds, we're going to explore ways to reach out to individuals to see if we can make their lives easier as they cope with treatments and doctor appointments. These tangible activities by our team will also help to spread the word to others so they can make a difference too," said Anderson.
"Operation Pink Ribbon will consist of three levels of commitment -- fundraising, volunteering and showing our support though our extensive marketing efforts including TV spots () we'll run on local media," said Anderson.

Komen for the Cure (), "Anderson's commitment means more lives will be saved in San Diego County and more breast cancers will be detected in their earliest stages. It is only through collective efforts with business and community that we can achieve our goal of a world without breast cancer. 75% of the funds raised in San Diego stay in San Diego to fund breast health grant programs for the uninsured and under insured. 25% of the funds go to support important national research."
