(firmenpresse) - CHATTANOOGA, TN -- (Marketwire) -- 08/16/11 -- A family farm in Apison and a lake home on Watts Bar Lake will sell in separate court-appointed auctions Thursday, Aug. 25, with the Chattanooga office of managing both sales. Both properties will sell at absolute auction, with no minimum or reserve bids.
The 53.5-acre farm will sell at noon at the property on Old East Brainerd Road, Apison, in Hamilton County. The auction was ordered by a court to settle the estate and divide it among heirs.
"This property, which adjoins Collegedale, was a working farm as recently as the 1970s, and given the high demand for tillable farmland today, it might even be feasible to convert it back to that use. The excellent location also gives it a great deal of potential for development," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.
The lake home, located at 987 Scenic Lakeview Drive, is located in the Eden of the Lakes Subdivision in Rhea County. It has a full basement and a drive-in garage.
