Road Rallies Planned in Medonte, Gwillimbury and King Township
ISAP Crews Take to the Road in Search of Invasive Species
(firmenpresse) - PETERBOROUGH, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/16/11 -- Media, meet at 10AM at each site, lunch provided
The first step in effectively managing Ontario's invasive terrestrial species is finding where the species are located. The Invading Species Awareness Program (ISAP) is taking on that challenge in three target areas by hosting road rallies to track, monitor and map terrestrial invasive species.
The information gathered during the rallies, scheduled this month for Medonte, Gwillimbury and King Township, will be added to the Invasives Tracking System, a publicly accessible online tracking tool (). Knowing where invasives are taking hold helps to coordinate management activities.
