The proposal is part of the company's plan to overcome the quality problems of Indian coal and encourage clean-coal technologies. The proposed coal prep plants will be established under a build, operate and maintain (BOM) model at an estimated cost of $555 million. The plants' combined capacity would be 111 million tons.
