The Montreal Burlesque Festival Comes to Club Soda
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/11 -- From the 25th to the 27th of August 2011, the 3rd edition of the Montreal Burlesque Festival will take up residence at Club Soda, and bring back those nights of naughty glamour for which the city was once renowned around the world. The titillating event, hosted by Benjamin Marquis, will present performances by dozens of international burlesque stars, musicians and artists, including such evocative names as Coco Lectric, Harvest Moon, Amber Ray, Loulou Duchess de Riere, Miss Sugarpuss, Bonbon Bombay, Michelle L'amour and Scarlett James, along with legendary guest icons April March, Satan's Angel and Tiffany Carter.
The festival will open on Thursday, August 25th, with a fashion show not-for-the-weak-of-heart, featuring breathtaking fine lingerie by Parisian label Lise Charmel, and the highly anticipated fall collection of NEVIK, Montreal's master of seductive pret-a-porter for the modern vamp. The show will be followed by the Oh! Canada event, a musical celebration starring Ashley King. In addition to the numerous burlesque acts, world-renowned painter, Eric Scala, will present a 3-day exhibition of outstanding pin-up art and demonstrations of live painting along with the fabulous Maly Siri and Zema.
