R-Control Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) Fabrication Services Available in Western US

The strategic alliance will make fabrication services more widely available and cost-effective for Western U.S. customers.

As a fabricator and installer of SIP panels, as well as a builder of residential and commercial projects designed with SIPs, they know how these SIP building systems interface with all other facets of a project. Crowley Builders' extensive in-depth knowledge of the framing system and issues such as seismic activity, which is particularly appealing to the west coast market, made them the perfect ally for fabrication services."
Securing shop drawings and custom fabrication services all in one place will save customers the time and money of having to secure these services on their own. Jim Crowley, Owner of Crowley Builders, explains, "We will create panel layout drawings and coordinate the engineering. These drawings are used as step-by-step instructions for both the fabrication of the panels and the assembly in the field. During this planning phase, it can be determined where cutoffs from one panel can be utilized to serve as headers or filler panels elsewhere. This eliminates waste and saves money."
The custom fabrication, cutting the panels to size, including windows and door openings and gable ends, will be matched precisely to the design. To ensure speedy installation, the panels will be numbered to coordinate with the drawings. R-Control Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are approved for seismic zones D, E and F construction by the NTA.
