DRS Technical Services Receives Contract Valued at up to $100 Million for Security Support Services
(firmenpresse) - BETHESDA, MD -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/11 -- DRS Defense Solutions announced that its Technical Services business unit has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at up to $100M through 2016 by SSC Atlantic for worldwide provision of Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) sustainment support services.
This multiple award, task order contract is for the design, installation and maintenance of IESS systems worldwide for SSC Atlantic. It can be used by a range of federal agencies as well. Work on this worldwide project is expected to be completed by March 2012, with the possibility of exercising additional options for the following four years.

This contract supports the automation of a number of critical systems, including security systems, surveillance systems, automated fuel systems, SCADA systems and more. DRS Technical Services will provide overall sustainment, integration and upgrades of existing integrated electronic security systems. This contract creates a teaming arrangement between DRS Technical Services and the U.S. government to improve availability and supportability of the integrated electronic systems with the overall goal of reducing costs.
