SIU Investigates Gunshot Injuries to Man in Toronto
(firmenpresse) - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/07/11 -- Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is probing the circumstances surrounding the injuries sustained by a man in Toronto today. At 0715 Hrs, 7 August 2011, the Toronto Police Service (TPS) reported the following information to the SIU:
Six investigators and three forensic investigators are investigating this incident. Anyone who may have information regarding this case is asked to contact the Unit at 416-622-1886 or 1-800-787-8529 X 1886.
The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault. Under the Police Services Act, the Director of the SIU must
