Mazatlan Sets Stage for 2011 Gran Fiesta Amigos, Oct. 31-Nov. 3
The 17th annual celebration will welcome travel partners, media and friends as it spotlights authentic culture, cuisine and new cosmopolitan flair
(firmenpresse) - MAZATLAN, MEXICO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/04/11 -- Mexico's colonial city on the beach will kick off the Fall travel season in grand style with its 2011 Gran Fiesta Amigos celebration, taking place Oct. 31 - Nov. 3. This "Big Festival of Friends" promises a vibrant welcome for honored travel partners - including the wholesalers, tour operators, airlines, incentive companies, journalists, tourism dignitaries and friends of who continue to support the ongoing growth of this seaside destination. This year, organizers work to increase Canadian participation.
The number of visitors to Mazatlan has increased an average of 15% each year for the past several years. In fact, Guillermo E. Rishchynski recently inaugurated a new consular office meant to accommodate the growing number of Canadians in the area. During the same visit, in recognition of Canada's importance to Mazatlan's tourism industry, the Ambassador received a key to the city.
