Seaspan Accepts Delivery of Sixty-Third Containership
(firmenpresse) - HONG KONG, CHINA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/03/11 -- Seaspan Corporation (NYSE: SSW) announced today that it accepted delivery of a 4500 TEU containership, the Budapest Bridge, on August 1, 2011. The new containership, which was constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., is Seaspan's eighth delivery in 2011 and expands the Company's operating fleet to 63 vessels.
The Budapest Bridge is on charter to Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd. ("K-Line") under a twelve-year, fixed-rate time charter with options to K-Line to extend the charter term up to an additional six years. The ship is the last of five 4500 TEU sister ships and the last of seven vessels to be chartered by Seaspan to K-Line.

Seaspan's contracted fleet of 69 containerships consists of 63 containerships in operation and six containerships scheduled for delivery through March 2012.
