Families know this time of year well: summer holidays. That's when the parents search frantically for fun things for the kids to do. Consider your search over. There's so much to do at that it might take more than a day to experience it all. All under one roof, there is more than enough visual stimulation to satisfy (and, indeed, mesmerize) even the most active, curious young mind.

What promises this summer - and delivers, big time - is more than just hands-on fun. This is fun they can feel with their whole body!

Now through September 6, hosts Sesame Street Presents: The Body. It's a super colourful, super interactive educational attraction featuring every kid's favourite Muppets: Elmo, Oscar, Grover and many other Sesame Street friends. Together, they teach kids about how their bodies work and how to keep them healthy. It's educational. But it's also incredibly fun, with a whole lot of hopping, jumping, running, and dancing.

"This is hands-on, body-on, fully interactive entertainment," says Donalda DaSilva Pelton, advertising and promotions coordinator at . She explains that this is an exciting combination of on-and-off-screen fun. "Kids can dance with the characters on the screen. There's a game show where kids can pick what Sesame Street character they want to compete with. There's also an actual bicycle that kids can pedal by squeezing it with their hands." For toddlers, there's an obstacle course. "It's very, very popular," she says.

Here's an added attraction: every Saturday throughout the summer, Elmo is in the house, roaming about the ! For hours, check the TELUS World of Science website.

Interacting with a real-life Elmo is surely a thrill for kids. But how about interacting with a real-life robot? At , kids (and parents) can do just that! RoboThespian™ is a brand new (and permanent) attraction that's getting a lot of deserved attention. "It's a life-sized, humanoid robot that visitors can program and interact with," says DaSilva Pelton, explaining that this particular robot was created to move, speak, communicate and entertain. "He responds to certain voice commands and movements. You can ask him questions too."

RoboThespian™ is the first of its kind of Canada and only the third in North America. What he does will likely make your kids' eyes pop!

For big sights of the extra BIG kind, take your kids to the in the TELUS World of Science. Two films they'll find especially riveting are Born to Be Wild and The Ultimate Wave Tahiti. Narrated by Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman, Born to Be Wild tells the touching true tale of a world-renowned primatologist and elephant authority rescuing incredible animals and returning them to the wild. "If you see only one IMAX film in your lifetime, it's this one!" says DaSilva Pelton. Of course, you'll definitely want to see The Ultimate Wave Tahiti too. Featuring ten-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater, this quest for the perfect wave-riding experience is visually stunning - and it's especially exciting on the super big IMAX screen.

Of course, there's nothing on earth that's bigger than the sky. The perfect way to experience that is to enter the TELUS World of Science's amazing Margaret and its summer attraction, One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure. This original planetarium show features Big Bird, Elmo and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take a magical journey of discovery into the depths of the big, big sky. It's a great way to learn about the North Star, the Sun, the Moon, and of course the Big Dipper.

For big - and Muppets and interactive robots! - a day (or more) at will make your child's summer extra special.
