Second Largest Ever ParadisePoker Tour Main Event Attracts 311 Players but German Takes Down 27,000 Euro Top Prize

Aleksandar Abutovic from Germany won the main event on the final stop of season II for EUR27,000 at the Gran Casino, Barcelona over the weekend. The EUR500 buy in tournament attracted 311 players.
When the tournament got to the business end a deal was struck three-handed then heads up another deal was struck. Jose Maria Felices was a just over 2:1 chip leader but offered his opponent EUR2,000 of the remaining EUR10,000 being played for. Abutovic accepted and the game was over within a couple of hands.
The final hand saw Felices on the button raise to one million (blinds 30,000/60,000) before Abutovic moved all-in. Felices had committed nearly half his stack so called off the rest. He was in very bad shape though.

The board ran 8s7h Ks 5c 2s. Felices had picked up a straight draw on the turn but it failed to materialise. He offered his hand to his opponent before taking a step back and allowing him to take the plaudits.
"I'm happy because my son arrived about one hour before play began," said Abutovic after his victory. "I had a good feeling when he arrived and I told him I was going to do well."

The Barcelona leg of the was the sixth and final stop on season II which took in Portugal, England, Austria, Czech Republic and Spain twice - Madrid and Barcelona.
