Former True Value Hardware Site to Sell at Auction in Covington, Va.
(firmenpresse) - COVINGTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/01/11 -- A 3.03-acre property that once served as the site of a True Value Hardware Outlet will sell at absolute auction at noon Wednesday, Aug. 31, with managing the sale.
The property, which also was used for planing mill and lumber yard operations, is located adjacent to the CSX rail line, which previously was used to deliver supplies to the site. The facilities include the 8,000-square-foot building that formerly housed the store, a 1,900-square-foot brick office building, and three storage buildings.
"I can't imagine a more versatile location, especially with some businesses needing more space to support the expanded operations at the nearby MeadWestvaco plant," said Jim Woltz, president of the auction company. "I wouldn't be surprised to see interest in it for warehouse, lumber yard or manufacturing uses, or some combination of those."
The property is less than a mile from Exit 14 off Interstate 64.
