SIU Investigating Firearm Death in Toronto
(firmenpresse) - MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 07/31/11 -- Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is probing the circumstances surrounding the firearm death of a man yesterday evening in Toronto.
The Toronto Police Service (TPS) contacted the SIU at 8:05 p.m. Saturday July 30, 2011 and reported the following:
The SIU has assigned six investigators and three forensic investigators to probe the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The name of the deceased male will not be released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault. Under the Police Services Act, the Director of the SIU must
