Ditem: Annual Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 07/29/11 -- Ditem Explorations (TSX VENTURE: DIT) is pleased to announce the results of the annual extraordinary meeting of shareholders held in Montreal on June 27th. At the meeting, shareholders elected the members of the Board of Directors, nominated the auditors, voted for the extension of the shareholders rights plan and approved a new stock option plan.
Shareholders re-elected Mr. Raymond Davies, Mr. Nick Di Perno, Mr. Lo-Sun Jen, Mr. Richard-Marc Lacasse and Mr. Raymond Savoie.
Former director Mr. Regent Watier did not seek re-election. Mr. Watier served on the Ditem Board for 10 years and was greatly appreciated by all. The members of the Board and shareholders wish to thank Mr. Watier for his commitment and valuable contributions to the Company and wish him a long and happy retirement in the pursuit of his favourite activities. He will be missed.
Shareholders reappointed KPMG as auditors of the Company and also extended the shareholders' rights plan for an additional three-year period. The shareholders also approved the new stock option plan. The previous stock option plan was based on a fixed number, and is now a rolling plan, whereby the number of options automatically increases or decreases as the number of issued shares of the Company increases or decreases.
Ditem Explorations is an exploration and development company with properties in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan (Beartooth Island and Cree Lake), the Otish Basin (Otish Uranium and Lac Henri) and on the North Shore near La Romaine (Lalande) in Quebec. Drilling is planned on the Otish Uranium property to confirm uranium mineralisation and initial exploration programs are to be completed on the Lac Henri and Lalande rare earth properties this summer.
