Online translation agency tolingo expands to the UK
(firmenpresse) - Hamburg, 20 July 2011 - As from today, tolingo is also offering its online translation service in the UK with a team based locally. The Hamburg online translation agency is thereby responding to the steadily increasing number of inquiries received via its UK website www.tolingo.co.uk. UK customers will now be looked after by a separate team in London, which is also taking over the marketing in the UK.
With an annual growth rate of some 11 percent, the translation market in the UK is particularly attractive for tolingo. In 2012, UK companies will invest over 500 million euros in translations. "After our success in Germany, going abroad is the logical next step," explains tolingo CEO Gunnar Piening. "The UK market is mainly populated with numerous classic translation agencies. As the first online translation agency in the UK, we see particularly good growth opportunities for us as a company."
The online translation agency tolingo was founded in Hamburg in 2008. It employs 45 staff in Hamburg and works with over 6,000 certified translators worldwide. From individual companies to blue chip corporations, customers are provided with direct access to professional specialist translations around the clock via www.tolingo.co.uk. At tolingo, you can choose from 220 different language combinations and 26 relevant specialist areas. The London base will be the first European office outside Germany.
