Mageport - Magento Connector for SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
(PresseBox) - Magento Preferred Extension Development Partner Netresearch is developing a generic connector for ERP and back end systems. In collaboration with certified ERP partners, plug-ins for SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV will initially be provided.
One of the most important tasks for Netresearch as Magento Preferred Extension Development Partner is the provision of high value adapters and integration tools for third party systems. The focus is here especially on the so-called back end systems such as ERP, CRM, and BI solutions. The connector will be named Mageport and developed as open source software.
This unique communication interface is designed to simplify the currently often laborious and complicated integration of Magento with third party systems. The advantages of this solution, which can also be considered middleware, are obvious: ?The new connector enables shop operators to join ERP systems to their Magento shop without great effort. The aim is to reduce expenditure for integration projects by up to 80%? according to Thomas Fleck, managing director of Netresearch.
From their experience as Magento Enterprise and Platinum Partner, Netresearch understands that in most cases integration projects are conducted through solution partners and agencies. Therefore a special support system will be provided for these scenarios. ?We want to support the agencies and shop operators in successfully integrating Magento with ERP and third party systems? says Thomas Fleck.
For the integration with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Netresearch has developed partnerships with leading system partners. HONICO eBusiness GmbH provides the product IntegrationMan® and the corresponding integration processes for interfacing with SAP, and m+p business solutions for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Thomas Fleck is enthusiastic about the ongoing collaboration: ?For us such cooperation is a logical conclusion from steadily growing demand. In HONICO and m+p we have experienced partners complementing us on the ERP side perfectly. Moreover we are in advanced negotiations with further ERP systems.?
