20 years of reliability and continuous expansion
Within the framework of the Intersolar, the Swiss manufacturer Sputnik Engineering will celebrate its 20th anniversary, present its extended warranties, and announce the foundation of a new subsidiary.
(firmenpresse) - Biel, 7 June 2011. The Swiss manufacturer Sputnik Engineering will celebrate its anniversary on the world’s largest solar trade fair Intersolar. The inverter brand SolarMax has been standing for maximum reliability, Swiss quality, and experience for 20 years now.
New warranties
Since May Sputnik offers new, extended warranties and thus emphasises the reliability of its devices. The standard warranty of five years for SolarMax string inverters can be extended to a maximum of 25 years now. This comprises both the technical support during troubleshooting and the replacement of faulty devices. Customers purchasing SolarMax central inverters can also conclude extended warranty contracts of up to 25 years with the options “Full” and “Limited”.
Along with its new warranties, Sputnik will present the string inverters of the SolarMax S and MT series, the central inverters of the S, TS, and TS-SV series, as well as communication solutions for efficient system monitoring on its booth in Munich.

With our new, customer-oriented warranty packages we protect the investments of our customers in an ideal manner”, says Christoph von Bergen, managing director and founder of Sputnik Engineering AG.
Swiss quality in China
Since the company was founded, Christoph von Bergen has continuously increased the number of sales offices in accordance with the market und customer needs. The aforementioned is now followed by the next expansion step. Sputnik Engineering has founded a new subsidiary in China. Headquartered in Shanghai, the company will support the emerging Chinese photovoltaics market as of 1 July.
“The Chinese market gathers speed now and we will participate right from the beginning”, says von Bergen delightedly. “I am convinced that we will manage to establish our SolarMax inverters on the Chinese market as well in no time at all on the basis of our high-quality products and our long-term experience.”
