Helagaine Twist-In: Secure Protection - Easy, Fast and Flexible
(PresseBox) - Conventional braided sleeving made by HellermannTyton can protect sensitive cables and wires against abrasion. Due to high rates of expansion the sleeving fits easily over cables provided they are not terminated. So far so good, but how to achieve this protection for cables and wires that are already fixed and connected? How to protect cables which must be accessible for maintenance work? For these reasons HellermannTyton has just developed Helagaine Twist-In.
Helagaine Twist-In is a self-sealing cable protective tube made of polyester yarn. Helagaine Twist-In has a slit sidewall, so that cables can be easily routed in or out. Due to its special profile, the tubing wraps itself around the cable bundle. Helagaine Twist-In can be applied rapidly and effortlessly. It covers with few diameters a wide application range.
Helagaine Twist-In FR combines the advantages of Helagaine Twist-In with excellent fire protection properties. Helagaine Twist-In FR is readily identifiable by a white stripe. The sleeving can be characterised by its flame-retardant and self-extinguishing properties. It is has been tested to NFF 16-101/16-102 and can be obstructed on account of the achieved values in the passage area. Helagaine Twist-In FR carries the latest certification for use in railway, aerospace and shipbuilding industries.
