Renault Trucks wins a carlsberg group bid for the supply of 140 vehicles
(PresseBox) - After an invitation to tender issued to six European truck manufacturers, Swiss hauliers Feldschlösschen Getränke AG - a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group - chose Renault Trucks to be the supplier of its 140 new vehicles. The operator wanted these to be more modern, safer, and above all more ecological. Renault Trucks won this market because of its vehicles' quality and reliability, its Optifuel solutions and the wide range of services it offers.
Product quality, reliability and low fuel consumption, as well as the range of solutions and services it offers, enabled Renault Trucks to win the invitation to tender issued by Feldschlösschen Getränke AG (Carlsberg Group) for the supply of 140 vehicles. Five other manufacturers were consulted to replace the Swiss company's fleet. The haulier wanted to operate vehicles that would be more modern, safer and - most important of all - more ecological.
As part of the purchasing process, Renault Trucks also supplied the Feldschlösschen Group with a prototype 26 tonne, 430 hp Premium Distribution fitted with special bodywork for several months of testing under actual operating conditions.
The first vehicles will be delivered in April 2011.
