Embracing change and increasing sales with abas ERP
(firmenpresse) - Karlsruhe, Germany, December 28th 2010 – Selecting a new ERP package started, as the business software of Arzberg porcelain reached its limits. The new ERP package had to be able to adjust to the constantly changing requirements of the porcelain manufacturer, their customers, and its market. Two other important factors were simplicity and visualization. The ERP system needed to be simple for all users and be able to present any data in real-time. Arzberg porcelain found a perfectly suited business software in abas ERP and will go live early 2011.

Since 1887, porcelain manufacturer Arzberg produces with a timeless and unique design. The most modern technical expertise, and also the experience and technical skills of the 240 employees is reflected in each individual piece of porcelain. Arzberg porcelain, which stands for long-lasting and aesthetically perfect design, produces porcelain of the finest quality exclusively in Germany. Some items are also found in the Museum of Modern Arts in New York.
Increasing productivity with abas ERP
"We want to increase transparency and the flow of information in all departments," Dietz says, Head of IT at Arzberg, "through the high level of software integration, the complete accounting is in the system standard, for example, we can more effectively organize our processes along the value-added chain, we see potential to minimize processes in many areas. We will start with the complete restructuring of our warehouse for white goods and decorative goods." Another project in the near future is the implementation of abas eB, a search engine optimized online-catalogue with web 2.0 features to increase sales worldwide.
