270 innovative application ideas are competing at Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2010
(firmenpresse) - Herrsching, 28.September 2010 – The database of the Bluetooth Innovation World Cup closed on September 15, 2010. This marked the end of the registration phase for the international idea competition, by which Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) was looking for marketable application ideas in the categories sports & fitness, health care and home automation. 270 innovative ideas for applications working with the new Bluetooth low energy technology have been submitted by developers, entrepreneurs and students. Both quality and quantity of the submitted ideas exceeded Bluetooth SIG´s expectations for the second Bluetooth Innovation World Cup and is an exciting task for the panel of judges.
The submitted concepts are now being examined and evaluated by an international team of experts. Three concepts of each of the three categories will be selected as finalists for the competition. The ideas of the nine finalists are going to be presented for the first time at electronica trade fair, taking place from 09-12 November 2010 in Munich. Visitors have the great opportunity to get more information about Bluetooth V 4.0 and its application possibilities and to have a look on tomorrow´s innovations for the areas sports & fitness, health care and home automation.
The official award ceremony is taking place on February 7, 2010 in line with ispo 11. The Bluetooth Innovator of the Year 2010 will receive a prize of $5,000, a Bluetooth Qualification Program Voucher (QDID) worth an additional $10,000, Bluetooth SIG marketing support and an exclusive Anritsu Bluetooth Test Set with a value of $25,000.
