Central government payments gave a deficit in June
(Thomson Reuters ONE) -
Swedish central government payments resulted in a deficit of SEK 23.8 billion in
June. The Debt Office's forecast was a deficit of SEK 18.9 billion. The
difference is mainly explained by larger disbursements of tax refunds.
The first disbursements of tax refunds regarding last year were made in June.
They were SEK 4 billion larger than calculated.
Interest payments on central government debt were SEK 0.4 billion, which was in
line with the forecast.
For the twelve-month period up to the end of June, central government payments
resulted in a deficit of SEK 59 billion. Central government debt amounted to SEK
1,115 billion at the end of June.
The outcome for July will be published at 9.30 am on 6 August 2010.
