The Airport discotheque sets new trend with Eurolite LSD curtains
The Airport in Würzburg, one of Germany's best-known house and techno clubs, has opted for a real novelty on the showtechnic market and in total installed 14 Eurolite LSD curtains.
(firmenpresse) - With the new and flexible LSD (LED Soft Display) curtains from Eurolite, Airport owner Rudi Schmidt deliberately wanted to set a new trend in the clubbing scene. As the LED Soft Displays offer great flexibility, a very low weight and brilliant colors, they are an innovation in the field of lighting technology: they are suitable for a wide range of applications and can show videos as well as graphic applications. Only recently, the Eurolite LSD-100 curtain was crowned winner in the category “Light tool of the year“ by German magazine Soundcheck.
All in all, Ape Laps Lichtprodukte from Würzburg installed 10 Eurolite LSD-75, four LSD-50 and six LSD AIO Network control systems in the Airport and in the adjacent premises of “Soundpark Ost”.
For more than 26 years, the Airport has been one of the leading and most popular clubs in the German House and Techno scene. In 1983 it opened its doors in an old warehouse. Back in those days, the interior design was that of an airport terminal, hence the name of the club. The Airport, which had its own truck at the Love Parade for years, is still known for hosting international top acts such like Kraftwerk, Sven Väth, Paul van Dyk, Monika Kruse or Moonbootica.
