Industry leader takes the helm in bringing the dramatic and new Echoverse
virtual world experience to market.
Idea Fabrik Plc (GB00B61CVK31, TI4.F) today announced that Billy Cain,
world renown game developer, has accepted the role of Chief Game Architect
for the Company's flagship product Echoverse.
Echoverse(TM) will address what is missing in today's digital virtual world
environments and deliver the most comprehensive convergence of social
media, entertainment and commerce to the on-line gaming and social
networking market. Echoverse is projected to go live with a Beta release in
second half 2010 and full launch in 2011.
John Jenkins, Idea Fabrik CEO said, 'Billy Cain has been deeply involved in
the initial planning and development work behind the Echoverse product. It
is a very large step forward for us to have him step into this lead role
and take on this additional responsibility. We are very excited about the
effect of the expanded impact his experience and knowledge will bring to
our project.'
Billy Cain's game industry career began in 1992 at the legendary
development studio, Origin Systems, where he ultimately served as lead
designer on Electronic Arts' multi-million dollar franchise title, Wing
Commander: Prophecy. Since then he has designed, developed, produced, and
contributed to many award-winning video games and includes Disney,
Electronic Arts, Midway, NCsoft, Sega, Sony, THQ, Universal as clients.
