Tieto focuses its business in India to Pune and Bangalore

Tieto has decided to focus its business in India to two main sites - Pune and
Bangalore. Operations in the Hyderabad site will be moved to the other locations
by the end of June. By consolidating operations to Pune and Bangalore Tieto aims
to optimize customer closeness and develop larger and more sustainable delivery
sites in India.
Tieto develops Bangalore as the new telecom site as the city has become the hub
for the telecom & media industry in India. Most of the people in the Hyderabad
site will be offered jobs in Pune or Bangalore. Currently, Tieto employs
altogether over 1 000 people in India.
Sampo Salonen, Executive Vice President, Global Service Lines says: "Focusing
our telecom-related services to Bangalore means that we will be closer to our
customers also geographically and therefore have better opportunities to
increase business engagements with them and establish business relations with
new customers. Bangalore offers good talents, competitive atmosphere and
