DEAG confirms 2009 growth curve through final figures - Positive outlook
for 2010
Berlin, 31. March 2010. By releasing the final figures for fiscal 2009 DEAG
Deutsche Entertainment AG (ISIN DE000A0Z23G6) reconfirmed the highly
positive preliminary numbers and the growth curve pursued. Sales rose from
EUR 109.5 million in the previous year to EUR 116.7 million. EBITDA climbed
by around 73 per cent from EUR 3.7 million in 2008 to EUR 6.4 million, EBIT
improved by EUR 7.9 million from minus EUR 3.1 million to a positive EUR
4.8 million. The result from continued operations amounts to EUR 1.3
million and corresponds with EPS of 10 cent. The Group result after
minorities turned from EUR -11.1 million to a positive EUR 0.5 million (EPS
4 cent).
With shows of exceptional artists such as Jessye Norman, Anna Netrebko,
Philippe Jaroussky and David Garrett im the Classical music section, with
sold out shows of the likes of Classical Spectacular in the London Royal
Albert Hall as well as concerts by Bruce Springsteen, Peter Maffay, Tina
Turner or Bryan Adams received by an enthusiastic public, DEAG convinced an
audience of millions in Germany, Switzerland and England.
The development of current tours and shows in the three core markets
Germany, Switzerland and England as well as the outstanding strategic
set-up within the framework of the 360 -degree-strategy allow for a
positive outlook into the current year. DEAG is upbeat for 2010 and expects
a further rise in the results of all relevant divisions.
