1 International Diabetes Conference in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) will participate in over 500 diabetes specialists and professionals in the health sector.
(firmenpresse) - The leading diabetes specialist Dr. James Meigs (Harvard University, USA) opened on 15 March 2010 the Congress.
His Highness Zaid Al Siksek (Engineer), CEO of HAAD (Health Authority - Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Health Authority), with the participants of the Congress very pleased.
The theme "Diabetes" for the health authority (Health Authority) top priority and they will use all means available to combat this disease.
This 1st International Diabetes Conference in Abu Dhabi is only one of a series of efforts with which we want to help our personnel in the health care industry in the treatment of this endemic problem, "says His Highness Zaid Al Siksek.
Professor Edwin Gale from Bristol University in Britain opened the congress with a keynote lecture on insulin therapy.
Other talks: Diabetes in children - and during pregnancy, the treatment of type II diabetes and the latest research on the quality of care and treatment of patients instead.
The latest research showed that the United Arab Emirates, with over 20% of the population has the second highest diabetes rate in the world.
