Sandvik Mining and Construction GmbH boosts accounts payable processes with software from ReadSoft

Sandvik Mining and Construction GmbH has decided to optimize its invoice
processing in SAP by using ReadSoft's software. The solution will automate the
processing of 40,000 invoices annually at Sandvik's shared service center in
Zeltweg, Austria.
Previously, Sandvik handled invoice registration, allocation, and approval
manually. This was challenging since project cycles in the construction industry
are long, and a lot of partial invoices from many different countries had to be
paid. The complexity of the process and the manual handling often resulted in
delays. The ambitious aim is now that every single invoice with a purchase order
reference should be processed automatically.
Another plus point of the ReadSoft solution has been the electronic workflow
enabling users to approve invoices online. The workflow has been configured to
fit Sandvik's specific approval process.
"It was important for us that the application resides inside SAP. The ReadSoft
solution was the most technically advanced product," says Werner Tiefengraber,
project manager at Sandvik Mining and Construction in Austria. "We evaluated
other software solutions, but they had many process steps outside of SAP which
would require a separate database."
