Tele2 completes the acquisition of a majority share in mobile operator NEO in Kazakhstan

Stockholm - Tele2 AB, (Tele2), (NASDAQ OMX Stockholm: TEL2 A and TEL2 B) today
announced that it has completed the acquisition of a majority share in operator
NEO in Kazakhstan. Tele2 has paid in cash SEK 545 million for 51 percent of the
shares and will make a capital injection of SEK 360 million.
