Approved Annual Accounts 2009

Farstad Shipping ASA's audited annual accounts for 2009 has been approved by the
board of directors on March 15th 2010. Compared to the preliminary results for
2009 published on the 17(th) of February 2010 along with the 4th quarter report,
there are no changes. The annual report 2009 including the approved accounts
will be distributed to the shareholders with the notice for the Annual General
Meeting.
The board of directors has decided to propose to the AGM to pay a dividend of
NOK 3.00 per share for the financial year 2009. The AGM will be held on May
19th, 2010. Provided that the AGM adopts the proposal, the share will be traded
ex-dividend as from May 20th, 2010.

Farstad Shipping's fleet currently consists of 57 vessels (24 PSV, 30 AHTS and
3 SUBSEA) and 1 AHTS under construction at Norwegian yard. The company's
operations are run from Ålesund, Aberdeen, Melbourne, Singapore and Macaé by a
total of 1.850 employees onshore and offshore. The company's strategy is to be a
major international supplier of large, modern offshore service vessels to the
