ST-Ericsson to cooperate with China Mobile on TD-LTE

(Thomson Reuters ONE) - ST-Ericsson strengthens strategic partnership with China Mobile to drive TD-LTE developmentGeneva, Switzerland, February 16, 2010 - ST-Ericsson, a world leader in wirelessplatforms and semiconductors, announced today it will cooperate with ChinaMobile on TD-LTE development and will support a demonstration of TD-LTE atShanghai World EXPO in 2010.ST-Ericsson will also actively participate on other TD-LTE projects organized byChina Mobile, including trial and interoperability testing (IOT) withinfrastructure vendors.Bill Huang, General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute, said: "ChinaMobile andST-Ericsson are co-operating very successfully on TD-SCDMA technology and we arehappy to extend our partnership into the TD-LTE area and then multi-modetechnologies in future.
