(Thomson Reuters ONE) - KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 12.02.2010 AT 09.00 1(2)The Kesko Group's sales from continuing operations, excluding VAT, totalledEUR615.3 million in January 2010, which is down by 7.0% compared with the previousyear.In the food trade, sales in January were EUR272.6 million, a decrease of 5.2%. Thesales to the K-food store chains were down by 2.5%. In January, there was onewholesale trading day less than in the previous year.In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in January were EUR122.9 million, anincrease of 1.8%. The sales of clothing and sports equipment developedespecially well.In the building and home improvement trade, sales in January were EUR142.2million, a decrease of 9.6%. Sales in Finland were down by 5.3%. In foreigncountries, sales decreased by 13.2% in terms of euros, and by 17.4% in terms oflocal currencies. In the Baltic countries, sales were down by 39.0%. In Russia,sales dropped by 17.1%.In the car and machinery trade, VV-Auto's sales in January were EUR65.5 million,down 19.1%.
